JU football ranked 21st in final 2010 poll
With the championship game in the books, the JU football team was ranked 21st in the final Sports Network/ FCS top 25 poll.

The Dolphins finished the regular season with a school record 10 wins and the program’s second Pioneer Football League title in the last three seasons. Jacksonville rose as high as 18th in the last poll released before the playoffs.

Jacksonville is joined in the top 25 by PFL co-champion Dayton, who came in 25th. It is the first time in PFL history that two teams have finished the year ranked in the top 25.

“To finish the season ranked in the top 25 is a tremendous honor,” said JU head coach Kerwin Bell. “This is a tribute to our student-athletes, especially our seniors. This senior class is a special group that came together to build something special here and now the task is to keep moving forward.”
