Men’s tennis tops Presbyterian
The fourth-through-sixth singles players boosted the JU men’s tennis team, propelling the Dolphins to a 5-2 win over Presbyterian on Tuesday afternoon at the Keith Watson Tennis Complex.

Larry Condez, Lance Lvovsky and Matthew Hansen each posted victories in the bottom three singles slots to help JU snap a two-match losing streak in moving to 2-4 on the season. Presbyterian fell to 3-3.

Lvovsky defeated Kenneth Mooney, 6-3,4-6, 6-4. The freshman recorded his first collegiate singles win.

Fellow freshman Condez registered a straight-set 6-4, 7-6 win and junior Matthew Hansen outlasted Zachary Sprouse in three sets. Fernando Bano Lopez set the tone, winning, 6-2, 6-1 from the first singles spot, improving to 4-2 in individual play this season.

Jose Fantova and Condez teamed for a JU win in first-doubles play while the Lopez and Hansen tandem captured the second doubles win for the final margin in the overall victory.

The Dolphins will return to action on Saturday when it hosts ETSU at 2 p.m.
