Track & field rounds out UNF Spring Break Open
Sophomore Bienna Freeman posted a new personal best in the 1,500-meter to lead the JU track & field team on Saturday at the UNF Spring Break Open in Jacksonville, Fla.

Freeman posted her new best time of 4:44.03 to finish third in the event, while seniors Danielle Davenport (25.16) and Louise Kiernan (24.19) placed second and third, respectively, in the 200-meter.

"The magnitude and direction of the wind meant we weren't likely to see any spectacular performances today,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “We got in some good work in our non-primary events and that work will help us down the line.”

Senior J’Zotta Rolle was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.52 and sophomore Alana Walker was sixth with a 1:04.44. Sophomore Rayanna Johnson ran a 1:08.54 (18th) to round out the 400-meter hurdles, while junior Amalia Vogler posted a 4:54.76 (15th) in the 1,500-meter to close out the day.

The Dolphins return to action at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge in Orlando, Fla. on March 19.
