Men’s tennis falls to Stetson
The JU men’s tennis team saw its three-match winning streak fall by the wayside when it lost, 5-2, to Stetson in an Atlantic Sun matchup on Saturday at the Keith Watson Family Tennis Complex.

JU fell to 5-13 and 3-6 in conference play. Stetson earned the team doubles point and won four-of-six singles matches to rebounded from a loss to UNF the previous day and improve to 17-9 and 6-4.

Freshman Lance Lvovsky continued his strong play at the third-singles spot, recording a 6-4, 7-5 win. Lvovsky is 6-10 on the season but 5-2 playing in the third spot.

The only other JU singles victory came via Logan Shalmi’s sixth-spot; straight-sets victory (6-3, 6-2). Shalmi won for the third time in his 14 singles matches this year in snapping a personal seven-match losing streak.

The Dolphins will next be in action on Tuesday when it faces Bethune-Cookman in a non-conference meeting at 2 p.m. The competition marks JU’s last scheduled road contest with the season finale against UNF set for April 10.
