Mary Mosier earns Rowing National Scholar-Athlete Award
Sophomore Mary Mosier capped a successful season with the JU women’s rowing team by earning the National Scholar-Athlete Award for outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments as announced by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
The award recognizes student-athletes with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA who have competed in 75 percent of their school’s spring races.
“Mary is a hard worker, both in the classroom and during training - on and off the water,” said JU head coach Kris Muhl. “She definitely has her head on straight; it is great to see her excel in both facets at JU.”
Mosier, an exercise science major with a 3.75 GPA, earns the award for the first time after receiving Dean’s List honors and academic all-conference honors for the second straight year.
