This Week in JU Athletics
The school year may only be a day old, but the Dolphins athletic programs are getting ready to be back in full swing starting on Friday.

This Week in JU Athletics will be a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.

Let's take a look at the first edition.

Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Liz Fink: Redshirt-junior Liz Fink earns Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" honors after scoring two goals in the JU women's soccer team's first two games. Fink scored against both Furman and Clemson as the Dolphins went 1-1 over the weekend.
Dolphin Day - Come celebrate the start of the 2010-11 season with JU athletics on Saturday as they host the inaugural Dolphin Day at the football practice fields on the north side of campus. Fans can watch the football team scrimmage as well as get autographs from other JU teams on hand.
Men's Soccer Scrimmage - After drawing with nationally ranked USF over the weekend, the Dolphins will return home for one final tune-up against Flagler on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex. The Dolphins have 15 newcomers who look to help the JU return to its championship form this season.
Football Scrimmage - Come out and start your Dolphin Day off right at 10 a.m. by watching the green and gold get ready for their season opener against ODU. The Dolphins have completed two scrimmages already and have shown signs on being ready for the season.

Volleyball heads to Clemson for the Big Orange Bash - The Dolphins head north to compete in Clemson's tournament against Albany, Tennessee Tech and the Tigers. JU was picked fourth in the recent A-Sun Preseason Poll and look to get off to a good start towards securing the program's first conference title since 2004.
