This Week in JU Athletics (Oct. 4-10)
JU women’s soccer player Liz Fink was tabbed as the Community First Credit Union “Athlete of the Week” to kick off another edition of This Week in JU Athletics.

This Week in JU Athletics is a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.


Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Liz Fink:Junior Liz Fink earned Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" honors after scoring three goals to lead the JU women’s soccer team past USC Upstate and ETSU. She scored twice in the win against the Spartans before adding a goal against the Lady Buccaneers.
Football hosts Drake on Saturday - After downing San Diego, the Dolphins head back to their home “turf” on Saturday to host Drake at noon. The Dolphins will be looking to start PFL play 3-0 for the first time since the 2001 season.
Men’s soccer returns home to host Nashville schools -The men’s soccer team heads back to the home pitch starting on Friday to host Lipscomb at 7 p.m.. They finish the week at home on Sunday against Belmont at 2 p.m. JU looks to stay perfect in A-Sun play after downing cross-town rival UNF, 1-0, on Oct 3.
Volleyball invades the Peach State - A third fall program will look to stay flawless in conference action as the volleyball heads to play Kennesaw State on Friday in Kennesaw, Ga. at 7 p.m.. They end the week in Macon, Ga. on Saturday to play Mercer at 3 p.m. The Dolphins knocked off FGCU and Stetson last week to start the A-Sun schedule have won six of their last eight matches.

Men’s & Women’s golf continues fall slate - Still need your golf fix since the Ryder Cup is done?Stay tuned to JUDolphins.com this week as both the men’s & women’s golf teams tee it up for another fall tournament. The men are at Rees Jones Intercollegiate (Haig Point, S.C.) starting today, while the women compete in the Xavier Invitational at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Friday.
