This Week in JU Athletics (Nov. 1-7)
JU football quarterback Josh McGregor was tabbed as the Community First Credit Union “Athlete of the Week” to kick off another edition of This Week in JU Athletics.

This Week in JU Athletics is a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.


Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Josh McGregor:Junior quarterback Josh McGregor earned Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" honors after tossing a school-record seven touchdowns passes in the Dolphins’ 61-17 victory at Morehead State on Oct. 30. The seven touchdown passes is tied for the most in the country this season and tied the PFL record set by San Diego’s Josh Johnson in 2007.
Football looks to end road schedule on high note - The Dolphins will look to stay perfect in PFL play when they wrap up the road schedule on Saturday against Butler at 1 p.m. in Indianapolis. Last week, JU extended its winning streak to seven games after downing Morehead State in Kentucky.
Soccer competes in A-Sun Tournament - Both JU soccer teams will take a crack at securing a conference title this week in the A-Sun Tournament. The No. 1 seed women’s team hosts No. 4 Kennesaw State for the semifinals at the Ashley Sports Complex on Thursday at 7 p.m. They will host the title game on Saturday at 1 p.m. if they win. The men’s team travels to Macon, Ga. to play Mercer on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the first round of the A-Sun Tournament.
Volleyball hosts final home matches - After two tough losses on the road, the volleyball team returns to the comforts of Swisher Gymnasium to host its final home matches this week. They will play Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before hosting Campbell for Senior Day on Friday. First serve is also at 7 p.m.

Women’s basketball hits the hardwood on Saturday - Fans will get its first taste of JU basketball on Saturday when the women’s team plays Tampa in an exhibition contest at 2 p.m. in Swisher Gymnasium. JU returns seven players from last year’s squad that reached the A-Sun semifinals for the fourth season in a row.
