This Week in JU Athletics (Nov. 8-14)
JU men’s golfer Stephen Healy was tabbed as the Community First Credit Union “Athlete of the Week” to kick off another edition of This Week in JU Athletics.

This Week in JU Athletics is a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.


Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Stephen Healy:Senior Stephen Healy earned Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" honors after carding a career-best three-under par 68 to help the JU men’s golf team win the Hummingbird Intercollegiate on Nov. 2. Healy finished second overall in leading JU to its first tournament title since the Braveheart Classic in 2007.
Football hosts Campbell in the home finale - After downing Butler on the road, the Dolphins will host Campbell on Saturday at noon in the home finale at D.B. Milne Field. With a win, the Dolphins can lock up their second PFL title in less than three seasons. They will also honor 19 seniors that make up the winningest class in program history in a pregame ceremony.
Basketball teams open season on Friday - Like it or not, college basketball season is here as both JU teams play Friday on the road. The women play against USF at 5 p.m., while the men blown into Coral Gables to take on Miami at 7:30 p.m.
Men’s soccer competes in A-Sun semifinals - After a thrilling over Mercer, the Dolphins ready for the A-Sun semifinals on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Johnson City, Tenn. They will take on Stetson for the second time in less than two weeks. If they win, the Dolphins will play in the A-Sun Championship match on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Volleyball plays important season finale on Friday at UNF - The season is on the line for the Dolphins’ volleyball team when they travel to play at UNF on Friday at 7 p.m. JU will need to win the match to secure a spot in the conference tournament. With a win, the Dolphins also can secure a key point in the SunTrust River City Rumble standings.
