THE LIFE OF A RUNNING DOLPHIN: Run, run, run...
I wish I had excited news for you, but a regular week of hard training is, well, for those who doesn't live and breathe this sport, is not too interesting.
This week have been fairly hot, which gave us some extra challenges, yet we got in some solid work and feel more prepared for next Saturday's 5k at Florida. One long run, two hard interval sessions and x number of easy runs has been done and after a fairly cold (47 degree) whirlpool this morning - I'm thinking a couple of hours in the sun to heat up.
I would say this week's most out of the ordinary happening was Joanne's (Pierre) dramatic cry as she saw a butterfly on the side of the road today (butterflies are very dangerous for people under 5 feet apparently) which made the Russian (Anastasia Fokina) turn around and the rest of us to roll our eyes. I must also include the explosion of our power transformer to the list of fun events, nothing like spending a Thursday night in complete darkness with good friends.
I wish all sports the best of luck this weekend - I expect you to bring home some good results!
