The old man still says it the best. This past week was a pretty tough one with high mileage and killer workouts. I gotta admit I was pretty dead Saturday with a body who refused to move for quite a few hours after our mile session -the best and worst feeling in the world.

After a successful baby hell week, we will now take on a slightly lighter workload to fully recover and prepare for Friday's race. Wednesday, we will have some slower k's followed by some quicker, shorter reps to work on our turnover.

We have already completed our first "hard" session of the week by doing our close to half marathon long runs at the beach. We were welcomed by a beautiful post-storm sky and a jungle full of spider webs, and apparently a fox (?). The worry of the day, was that one of our male runners, Esteban (Mendez) decided to do a two-hour run instead of the 90-110 minutes that we usually do so we wondered if we had to send a search squad for him. However, he finally returned, happy and goofy as always.

Speaking of goofy, I hope you one day will get the opportunity to ride in a car with four international runners high from running. Coach (Ron Grigg) says it’s the highlight of his coaching career - can't blame him as we cover topics from politics, to sweaty shoes and newfound business ideas. We sure will solve all the world's problems in coach's Mercedes one day.
