A pair of Jacksonville University football players has received national recognition in the wake of Saturday’s 37-30 win over Charleston Southern.

Colby Walden was named national Kick Returner of the Week and tight end Quintin Davis the national Tight End of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards.

Walden, from Tampa, Fla., returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown and ended the game with 185 return yards. He also recorded three tackles and intercepted a pass that ended the Bucs’ final scoring effort.

Davis, from Jacksonville, Fla., had 117 receiving yards and a touchdown, a 43-yard pass from quarterback Josh McGregor. Davis’ total is the most receiving yards in a game by the Dolphins this season.
