Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Davide Faga: Junior men’s soccer player Davide Faga was named the Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" after winning the fan vote on the JU athletics facebook page. Faga had the game-winning score for Dolphins against North Florida to help clinch a spot in the A-Sun Tournament.
Football has off week - The high-flying JU football team has a bye this week so the fans will have it wait a little longer to see them again in action. The Dolphins won their PFL-record, 16th-straight contest on Saturday with a 56-13 win against Davidson. JU will need its rest this week as they get ready to play Drake, Butler and San Diego in the final three contests.
Women’s soccer opens A-Sun Tournament on Friday - The Dolphins secured a share of the A-Sun regular season championship over the weekend with the help of their 2-1 win against UNF. With the tiebreakers, the Dolphins earned the No. 3 seed and will host Mercer at the Ashley Sports Complex in the first round of the tournament on Friday at 7 p.m. The Bears knocked off the Dolphins in the A-Sun Tournament final at the Ashley Sports Complex.
Cross country readies for A-Sun Championships- The JU men’s & women’s cross country teams will be in action on Saturday with the A-Sun Championships in Nashville, Tenn. Men’s soccer braces for key week - The Dolphins have a tough week ahead of them for their final two A-Sun contests. They will have a key showdown at Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday at 7 p.m. before ending the week at home on Sunday against Stetson at 7 p.m.
