JU's Record-setting quarterback Josh McGregor and sophomore kicker Bladen Gudz are among this week's Pioneer Football League Players of the Week.

McGregor, from Royal Palm Beach, Fla., was honored for the third time this year after his record-setting performance in Saturday's 34-24 win over Butler.

The senior threw for a career-high 422 yards and three touchdowns in the come-from-behind win which include a pair of scoring strikes in a 17-point fourth quarter.

The touchdown passes gives him 115 for his career which broke the PFL record set by San Diego's Josh Johnson (2004-07) and puts McGregor in sixth place all-time in the Football Championship Series touchdown pass list. He also now has 11,016 passing yards, 18th best all-time in the FCS, and Saturday's game was the 17th time he has thrown for 300 yards or more in a game during his career.

McGregor shared this week's award with Drake quarterback Mike Piatkowski and Valparaiso's Eric Hoffman.

Gudz, from Madison, Fla., had field goals of 24 and 27 yards and was 4-for-4 in extra points for a 10-point game.

The 5-foot-8, 147-pound Gudz now has 59 points for the season, second on the team behind running back J.J. Laster's 60.
