Countdown to The Citadel: 10 days
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The intensity level of practice clearly picked up today as the team shifted gears getting ready to play The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., Sept. 3.

Around the field: An early punt by Garrett Mohr even got a “wow’’ from head coach Kerwin Bell … running backs were smooth going through their paces … defensive backs and wide receivers got very physical with each other in one-on-one drills … cornerback Andre Addison spent the day making receivers work for every ball they were able to catch … quarterback Josh McGregor appears to be throwing the ball as well as he has since camp started earlier this month. He hit wide receiver Kendryk Boyd on a beautifully executed long play with the ball floating into Boyd’s arms.

What they’re saying: “The Citadel is going to be physical, we’ve got to get physical. We only have nine or 10 days left.’’ – Defensive backs coach Danny Verpaele.
