Men's Soccer to Play Final Home Game of Season
The Jacksonville University men’s soccer team will play their final home game of the season tonight against the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The team will also be honoring the ten seniors on the team during a pregame ceremony. The game will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex.

The Dolphins (8-7-2, 5-2-1 in A-Sun) come into the game looking to gain some momentum going into next week’s Atlantic Sun conference tournament after two tough losses in overtime. JU finished the A-Sun regular season in third place and will take on the sixth seeded East Tennessee State on Wednesday, November 9th in Johnson City, Tennessee.

This year’s class of seniors has combined to play 26 seasons at JU and has posted 34 victories over the last four years. The group has also qualified for the A-Sun tournament three out of the last four years. They won the conference tournament in 2008 and advanced to the second round in the NCAA tournament.

Tonight’s game is also a Coaches vs. Cancer event. There will be containers set up before the game where people can donate to the American Cancer Society to help fund research to find a cure for cancer. In addition, the team autographed an authentic jersey and had it framed and will be auctioning it off in the near future with the proceeds also being donated to the American Cancer Society.
