Women’s golf hosts Princeton on Thursday
The Jacksonville women’s golf team hosts its first head-to-head match of the season on Thursday when they face Princeton at Hidden Hills Country Club.

The two teams will tee off at 1:30 p.m., with each team starting five players and counting the four lowest for the team score.

Both teams are using the match in preparation for this weekend’s Low Country Intercollegiate, hosted by Western Carolina.

“I know our team is looking forward to the opportunity to play against Princeton and it will be a great match,” said JU head coach Ashley Prange. “This comes at a perfect time for us to get the competitive juices flowing again as start our final stretch.”

For Morgan Jackson, it’s another opportunity at a course that she has played well at throughout her career. The JU senior has posted top 20 finishes in the Courtyard Classic at Hidden Hills, including a career-best tie for second.

Princeton enters the event led by its sophomore sensation – Kelly Shon. Ranked in the top 20 nationally by the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, Shon is coming off a tie for 10th at the Hurricane Invitational.
