Stetson leads after 36 holes at the Marsh Landing Intercollegiate

Led by Alex Buelow’s two under par rounds, Stetson leads after day one of the Marsh Landing Intercollegiate.

 

Buelow carded rounds of 71 and 69 to post four-under par and a five-shot lead over Cincinnati’s Andrea Malek.

 

As a team, Stetson shot a two-over par, 290, in the first round and four-over par, 292, in the second round to hold a 21-shot lead over Cincinnati and a 25-shot lead over host Jacksonville.

 

Jessica Welch led the Dolphins with rounds of 76 and 73 to sit in a tie for sixth at five-over par, 149.  Natalie Schmett carded rounds of 76 and 75 to tie for 11th at seven-over par, 151.

 

Morgan Jackson put together rounds of 78 and 75 to finish in a tie for 15th at nine-over par, 153.  Carlie Gehlhausen carded a pair of season-best five-over par 77s to tie for 18th at 10-over par.

 

Francesca Yong carded rounds of 83 and 78 and is tied for 38th at 17-over par, 161.

 

The event concludes with the final round starting Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
