Track & field competes at UNF Invitational starting Friday
The JU track & field team will once again be back at the site of the A-Sun Outdoor Championships Friday for the North Florida Invitational at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville.

The Dolphins are only two meets away from competing for their seventh straight conference outdoor tile which begins April 20. This is the second outdoor meet for the Dolphins this season after competing at the UNF Spring Break Open on March 2.

“This is the time of year where we expect to see performances improve,” JU head coach Ron Grigg said. “There will be an excellent level of competition and ideal weather conditions for quality performances.”

Last time out, junior Akeela Bravo led the Dolphins at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge on March 17 by winning the discus throw with a toss of 147’8” and finishing second in the hammer (171’0”). Junior Charlene Charles (20’0.25”) and freshman Courtney Walker (19’0.75”) each posted personal bests in the long jump.
