Sand Volleyball starts busy week Tuesday
The JU sand volleyball team will compete three times in six days this week starting Tuesday against Hawaii at 10 a.m. in the Dolphins Beach Volleyball Complex.

Following the match against the Warriors, the Dolphins will host Florida Atlantic for a duals match Thursday at 1 p.m. JU wraps the week with its first tournament at North Florida Saturday.

“We are looking forward to a busy week of great completion,” JU head coach Michelle Collier. “The team has been working hard for the past two weeks to improve and they can’t wait to face our strong opponents, starting with Hawaii. It will be very challenging but I believe the girls are ready to compete and get better.”

The Dolphins compete for the first time in two weeks since dropping the opener to North Florida, 4-1, on March 9.

Junior Nicole Teplitz and sophomore Niatha Cullen paced the Dolphins after downing UNF’s Nicole Baran and Marija Pantovic, 2-1, in flight four.

Sophomore Kylie Jacob and freshman Jena Orner (flight five) and sophomore Kendall Courtney and freshman Cari Whitmire (flight one) each went three sets before taking the loss.
