This Week in JU Athletics is a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.

Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" - Raquel Weckhurst: Sophomore forward Raquel Weckhurst was named the Community First Credit Union "Athlete of the Week" after winning the fan vote on the JU athletics facebook page. Weckhurst scored the game-winning score in the 109th minute to help the Dolphins down Mercer and avenge last season’s A-Sun title match loss.
Football preps for “2010” PFL title game - The Dolphins return home to host Dayton on Saturday at 1 p.m. On paper, this is the matchup diehard PFL fans have been waiting for since last season since both teams went perfect in conference play to claim a share of the title. The Dolphins knocked off Marist in their last game, while the Flyers suffered its first loss since last season to Butler.
Men’s soccer readies for home matches- Like the football team, fans will be able to catch the men’s soccer team in action this week. The Dolphins host USC Upstate on Friday at the Ashley Sports Complex. They close out the week on Sunday against ETSU at 2 p.m. JU downed Georgia Southern in the final non-conference match before earning a 2-0 win against Mercer in the A-Sun opener.
Women’s soccer looks to continue strong A-Sun start - The Dolphins hope to stay hot in A-Sun play as they head back out on the road. They will be at USC Upstate on Friday before finishing in Johnson City, Tenn. against ETSU on Sunday. The Dolphins downed Kennesaw State and Mercer in their latest matches at the Ashley Sports Complex.

Volleyball looks to rebound on the road - The Dolphins will once again pack the suitcases and head out of town for matches this week.
