JU men’s soccer player Tyler Williams was tabbed as the Community First Credit Union Athlete of the Week to kick off the latest edition of This Week in JU Athletics.

This Week in JU Athletics is a weekly feature to give fans the top five items of the week and a full list of all the athletic events so they can cheer the Dolphins on to victory.


Community First Credit Union Athlete of the Week – Tyler Williams: Senior men’s soccer player Tyler Williams was named the Community First Credit Union Athlete of the Week after winning the fan vote on the JU athletics facebook page. Williams had a goal and an assist on Senior Night at the Ashley Sports Complex against Nebraska-Omaha.
Football preps for Senior Day - Saturday will be the last chance for fans to see the football team at home as they host Butler at Noon for Senior Day at the D.B. Milne Field. The Dolphins look to bounce back after having their PFL winning streak snapped at Drake.
Basketball teams open Friday - Those needing a hardwood fix are in luck as the JU women’s & men’s basketball teams open its seasons on Friday. The women’s team is in Miami to play Florida International, while the men are in the state capital to play Florida State.
Volleyball rounds out regular season at home - Like the football team, this will be the last chance for you to check out the volleyball team in action. The Dolphins host Stetson on Friday for Senior Night before playing Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. Come see the Dolphins as they battle for a possible A-Sun Tournament berth.

Men’s soccer starts A-Sun Tourney- The Dolphins start their battle for the conference championship on Wednesday with host East Tennessee State at 7 p.m. in Johnson City, Tenn. If they win, they will play Friday against Stetson at 7 p.m.
