Baseball alum David Doney named to US News “Best Lawyers in America”
Former JU baseball player David M. Doney is building a prestigious streak in his profession streak, being named to the US News “Best Lawyers in America” list for the fourth straight year.

Doney was one of 106 lawyers from his firm, Akerman Senterfitt, to make the list for his work in corporate law securities/capital markets law and securities regulation.

The overall list is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 41,000 leading attorneys cast nearly 3.9 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas.

Doney pitched two seasons for the Dolphins in 1986 and 1987. As a junior, Doney tallied a 1-0 record and fanned 10 batters in 12 innings of work. He struck out 19 batters in his senior season.

In his prep career, Doney was a three-year letterwinner at the Bolles School – helping the Bulldogs win the state title in 1983.
