JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The University of North Florida Ospreys (32-14, 14-4 A-Sun) defeated the JU Dolphins (14-29, 7-11 A-Sun) 12- 1 in game three of the weekend series.

The Ospreys jumped out early once again scoring eight runs in the first three innings on nine hits and one Dolphin error.

The Dolphins pushed across a run in the bottom of the third. Michael Babb (Jacksonville, Fla./Bartram Trail) led off with a double and scored on an RBI single by Nathan Koslowski (Jacksonville, Fla./Episcopal) to cut the lead to 8-1.

That is as close as the Dolphins would get. The Ospreys added a run in the top of the eighth and followed it up with three in the ninth to make it 12-1.

The Dolphins were led offensively by Braddock Rowe (Jacksonville, Fla./South Georgia College) who finished with three hits on the day. Babb and Ethan Loosen (Uniondale, N.Y./FSCJ) both finished the day with a pair of hits for the Dolphins.

Wes Torrez (Naperville, Ill./Johnson County CC) (1-3) was charged with the loss. Drew Woods (Jacksonville, Fla./Wallace CC) pitched seven innings of strong relief out of the bullpen allowing only two earned runs against the potent Osprey offense.

The Dolphins will be back in action Friday from Ft. Myers, Fla. as they face the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. All of the action can be followed live on
