Lipscomb Takes Game Two of Series 8-2
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Lipscomb Bisons (19-30, A-Sun 9-14) defeated the JU Dolphins (17-33, A-Sun 8-15) 8-2 at John Sessions Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Dolphins jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom half of the first inning. Drew Luther (Fullerton, Calif./Fullerton College) reached on a one out single. Back to back doubled by Brady North (Tampa, Fla./Hillsboro CC) and Dylan Dillard (Kissimmee, Fla./Osceola) put the Dolphins up 2-0.
Those were all the runs that the Dolphins could muster on the day. The Dolphins stranded 13 base runners on the day and hit into two double plays.
The Bisons scored four runs in the top half of the fifth inning off of Dolphin starter Alex McRae (West Allis, Wis./New Berlin Eisenhower) and then added four more in the top half of the seventh to round out the scoring at 8-2.
The Dolphins had six players with multiple hits in the game led by Dillard who finished the day with two singles and a double.
McRae (3-7) was charged with the loss. The Dolphins and the Bisons will be back in action on Sunday afternoon at 1pm from John Sessions Stadium. You can follow all the action live www.judolphins.com
