The #6 seed JU men’s soccer team will look to upset the #3 seed ETSU Bucs in the first round of the Atlantic Sun Tournament. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Fort Myers, Florida.
The game will be a rematch of the regular season matchup that took place back on October 7 in Johnson City, Tennessee. The Bucs scored with 30 seconds left in the second half to defeat the Dolphins 2-1.
If JU is going to pull off the upset and keep its season alive, it will have to contain the freshly crowned A-Sun Player of the Year, David Geno. He leads his team and the conference with 29 points. He experienced success in the first matchup scoring the Bucs first goal.
The Dolphins will hope that sophomore and first team All-Conference member Matheus Saroli can keep up his strong play of late and provide the needed offense for the win. Saroli scored two goals and recorded an assist in the Dolpins’ must win regular season finally against rival UNF. Saroli finished tied for first in conference play for points with five goals and two assists.
