Pierre named A-Sun Runner of the Week

Senior Joane Pierre earned a first-place finish at the UCF Attack Challenge Oct. 12 to secure A-Sun Runner of the Week honors for second straight week.
Pierre defended her 2011 UCF Attack Challenge title at the meet by running a 21:25.60 to take first place and help the Dolphins to a third-place finish. “Joane had a nice performance last weekend,” said JU head Ron Grigg said. “She has had a good start to her senior season.” Pierre earned the honor last week after breaking the JU 6k record in 21:10.8 to place second at the FSU Invitational (10/5). The Dolphins will compete again Oct. 27 at the A-Sun Championships in Fort Meyers, Fla. |
