Hardy was the sixth pick of the seventh round by the Tulsa 66ers, while Cohn went in the eighth round, second pick, to the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
“We are extremely proud of our JU graduates,” JU head coach Cliff Warren said. “We wish them both continued success.”
In 2011-12, Hardy earned the British Basketball League Defensive Player of the Year with the Leicester Riders. He had a 15.7 scoring average to go along with 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 steals and one block a contest in helping his squad to 22 wins for second place in the BBL. For their efforts, the Riders received Team of the Year accolades.
Cohn will enter his second year in the NBDL following his stint with Springfield Armor last season. He averaged 6.1 points a contest in 14 games for the Armor. Cohn was also taken in the second round of the National Basketball League (Canada) draft in August.
While at JU from 2007-11, Hardy and Cohn helped lead the Dolphins to three straight postseason appearances, including trips to the second round of the NIT and CIT. Hardy finished his time at JU ranked second in career steals, seventh in career blocks and is 18th on the all-time scoring list. Hardy and Cohn are tied for the most games played all-time.
The Dolphins open the 2012-13 season at Georgia Friday, in Athens, Ga.
