The Game
Jacksonville (11-11; 6-3 A-Sun) starts the second half of conference play by returning to historic Swisher Gymnasium on Thursday night to face Stetson (9-11; 6-3 A-Sun) in a pivotal league match-up.  The Dolphins are looking to even the season series with the Hatters while separating from a five-way tie from first in the A-Sun.

JU is coming off a 2-1 road swing that ended on Saturday when a four game winning streak was stopped at USC Upstate on Saturday.  Four players reached double figures for the Dolphins in the 79-64 outcome, including senior Glenn Powell and junior Keith McDougald with 12 points each.  After averaging 8.2 points during the non-conference portion of the schedule, Powell continues to elevate his game in the A-Sun ranking second on the team behind only McDougald (14.6 ppg) with 12.3 points per game.    

Junior Javon Dawson was tagged the A-Sun Newcomer of the Week for a second straight week on Tuesday. Dawson averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in the two games and was a key factor in the win at ETSU scoring six of JU’s final eight points in the last 1:20 of play.  

Stetson had a five game win streak stopped at with a 96-65 loss at FGCU last Friday.  Adam Pegg leads teh team with 14.6 points per game.  Stetson won the first meeting 81-72 in DeLand.
