“Michelle is a welcome addition to our program,” said Borocz after the official signing. “Michelle has an excellent background, and is a stand out on and off the course,” added Borocz. “First and fore most, we know that she will be a great representative of Jacksonville University.”

Hanes took time to list several of her accomplishments in high school and junior golf.

· MVP all four years at Nardim Academy
· Nine hole scoring average of 38
· 2012 Medalist in Erie County Amateur Championship
· 2012 Buffalo District Golf Association Women’s Tournament of Champions Invitational Champion 2012

Michelle is the daughter of Valerie and Bill Hanes and has five siblings, Billy (University of Richmond Golf Team 2004-08) Jaclyn, Alicia, Bob and David. Her hobbies outside of golf include playing tennis and traveling.
