Dolphins open spring season

Jacksonville, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's golf team kicks off their spring season on Monday in Miami Lakes, Florida.

The Dolphins will compete in the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge on Senator Golf Course at Shula's Golf Club in Miami Lakes, Florida. The tournament is hosted by the University of Maryland.

The field will consist of 16 teams, led by 23rd ranked North Carolina State. There are 10 top-100 teams, including North Carolina State. Miami (Fla.) and ETSU, Florida International, Missouri, Louisville, Maryland, Kansas, Mercer and Arkansas State.

The final six teams in the field are, Xavier, Cincinnati, Illinois State, Memphis and UM-Kansas City.

The Dolphins will be playing with Xavier and Memphis for the first two rounds on the Senator Golf Course. The tournament concludes with one round on Tuesday, starting at 8:00 a.m.
