Dolphins finish second at the Bash at the Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, SC.--- Cyril Suk (Bradenton, Fla.) and Colin Monagle (Jacksonville, Fla.) played their best golf of the 2013 spring season finishing tied for seventh to lead the JU Men’s golf team to a second place finish at the Bash at the Beach golf tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Suk (70-70-72) and Monagle (72-72-68) finished at 212 to lead the JU Men’s golf team at the Surf Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach. The 68 carded by Monagle was the low round of the week by the Dolphins.
Nick Torrance (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) (72-70-71 -213) and Brett McKinnon (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia) (70-69-74 -213) finished the tournament in a tie for twelfth at even par 213. Rounding out the scoring for the Dolphins was Jamey Salmon (Jacksonville, Fla.) who (72-78-80 -230) tied for 51st place.
The Dolphins finished in second place with a team score of (284-281-285 – 850) The Dolphins gained five shots in the final round on tournament winner Radford University who finished with a (281- 274-290 -845). The Dolphins finished with and eight shot advantage over James Madison University who finished third overall.
The second place finish was the Dolphins best finish of the 2013 campaign.
