Jacksonville Announces Women’s Basketball Coaching Change
A national search will begin immediately

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University Director of Athletics Brad Edwards has announced that women's basketball head coach Jill Dunn will not have her contact renewed for the 2013-14 season. A national search for a replacement will begin immediately.

“After conducting a thorough review of our women’s basketball program I feel at this time it is in the best interest of our University to move in a different direction,” Edwards said. “I would like to thank Coach Dunn for the positive impact she has had on our student-athletes both on and off the court during her tenure. We wish Coach Dunn well in her future endeavors.”

“At Jacksonville we strive for a standard of excellence,” continued Edwards. “We expect to contend for conference championships in all our sports year after year. The Atlantic Sun is a strong women’s basketball conference and our goal is to grow the program into one of the elite teams in the league.”

“I have the utmost confidence in our University and the direction our athletics department is headed. This will be an attractive job for many highly qualified candidates. Our job will be to hire the best person and do it in a timely fashion.”
