The Dolphins were led Natalie Schmett (Evansville, Ind.) who finished fifth overall (79-76-78 –233). Jessica Welch (Lavonia, Ga.) finished with (82-80-78-240) to tie for 22nd in the 54-hole tournament.
Carlie Gelhausen (Noblesville, Ind.) tied for 56th finishing with (84-80-89-253) over the par 72 layout. Francesca Yong (Malaysia) (85-86-83-254) finished 61st and Christina Paulsen (Ridgewood, N.J.) rounded out the scoring for the Dolphins with (87-88-89-264) to finish 69th overall.
Along with JU and host-school Georgia State, the 2013 John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate consisted of Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State James Madison, Samford, Kent State, Houston Baptist Murray State, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, Troy and UC Riverside.
Kent State rallied to win the team title of the two-day tournament with a final score of 931 (311-318-302). Old Dominion placed second with a 54-hole score of 942 (318-303-321), while James Madison and Georgia State tied for third place at 945.
