A-Sun Play Heats Up For Women’s Lacrosse This Weekend
Dolphins begin conference play at Kennesaw State at 1:00 pm on Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville women’s lacrosse team is geared up for the start of Atlantic Sun play this weekend as the Dolphins travel to Kennesaw State on Saturday for a 1:00 pm contest.

JU (7-3) has won six of the last seven games following a 17-7 win over Marist and a 24-6 win over Winthrop last week. Well known for their high powered offense, the Dolphins have done it with defense as well this season. Enter this weekend’s action JU ranks second in the country forcing 11.5 caused turnovers per game and first in the nation with an average of 24.5 ground balls per game.

The Dolphins 14.7 goals per game has them ranked seventh in the country as six different players have scored at least 13 goals this year.

JU enters this weekend ranked No. 20 in the latest computer rankings. The Dolphins own a RPI of 26.

Kennesaw State (0-6) is in its first season in program history. The Owls are coming off a 22-5 loss at Presbyterian.
