The Dolphins will compete in four tournaments and three duals matches prior to hosting the A-Sun Championships on campus in April.
“We are excited for the spring,” JU head coach Michelle Collier said. “The sand season was new to all of us last year. We have most of our sand team back which will battle through a tough schedule to help us compete for an A-Sun Championship. Overall, I can’t wait to get going.”
JU opens the season with consecutive tournaments in March at the Ron Jon Beach N Boards Fest (March 9-10) in Cocoa Beach, Fla. and the North Florida Tournament (March 16-17) in Jacksonville Beach.
The Dolphins will play a dual match at Florida Gulf Coast March 24 before hosting a home tournament at the Dolphin Beach Volleyball Complex (March 29-30). They will also host Stetson inside of the home tournament both days. JU plays Mercer (April 5) and UNF (April 10) to round out the duals slate, while wrapping the tournament schedule in the Fiesta at Siesta Key (Fla.) on April 13.
For the second straight season, JU will host the A-Sun Championships at the Dolphins Beach Volleyball Complex starting April 19.
In 2012, the Dolphins finished fourth at the A-Sun Tournament and posted a duals win against Florida Atlantic during the inaugural campaign.
