CSS to Broadcast Both Men’s Basketball Games with UNF

MACON, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced its broadcast lineup on Tuesday, continuing its relationship with CSS for a 12th consecutive season. CSS will broadcast 12 games throughout the winter, beginning with a Jan. 5 game between Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson. The Jacksonville University men’s basketball team will be featured twice during the season, making appearances on January 17 and February 14 in its two matchups with cross-town rivals North Florida. Both contests will also be made available on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app.

Though most games throughout the season will be played on Friday nights, CSS will also air both men’s conference tournament semifinals on Thursday, March 6 as well as the women’s championship game on Sunday, March 16.

“The A-Sun’s longstanding partnership with CSS, and in particular our involvement with the Friday Night Game of the Week, has become a valuable tradition that enables us to consistently showcase our outstanding conference basketball,” stated A-Sun Commissioner Ted Gumbart. “It is always good to have such a quality announce team back again with Matt Stewart and Sony Smith, and I am pleased to continue shining this spotlight on the outstanding student-athletes and institutions of the A-Sun.”

The team of Matt Stewart and Sonny Smith returns to handle play-by-play duties and color commentary, respectively, for the Friday night broadcasts. Stewart is in his seventh season calling A-Sun basketball, while Smith returns for his 12th season.
