SAINT LOUIS, Mo. -- Highlighted by first team honorees Andrew Robustelli, Dylan Bostick and Andre Addison, Jacksonville University netted a Pioneer Football League best 20 all-league performer as voted on by the league’s head coaches.
In addition, four other Dolphins were named to five positions on the All-PFL Second Team while 12 student-athletes were selected All-PFL Honorable Mention.
Robustelli set the tone for his breakout 2013 season by catches two touchdowns in the season opener at Delaware. The junior wide receiver from Sarasota, Fla. closed out the season ranked top 15 nationally in receiving TDs (14th; 11 TDs), receiving yards (15th; 1,063 yards) and yards per game (13th; 96.6 ypg). His 1,063 yards this season not only set a school record, but gave him the distinction of becoming the first player in JU history to record over 1,000 receiving yards in a season
An honorable mention honoree last fall, Bostick started all 11 games along the offensive line. The senior from Jacksonville, Fla. help set the tone up front for an offense that ranked fifth in the nation in total offense (522.7 ypg) and sixth with 41.8 points per game.
Addison, who was also an honorable mention All-PFL selection last fall, earned his second career league recognition following a season in which he led the Dolphins and ranked fourth amongst PFL defensive backs with 48 solo tackles (67 total). The senior from Crescent City, Fla. also had 10 pass break ups ranking him fourth in the league.
Defense and special teams showcased the second team picks for Jacksonville as Maroa White, Mike Klein, Dylan Lynch and Adrian Riley were all recognized.
A sophomore from DeLand, Fla., White came on strong during league play this season as he finished the year ranked fourth in the PFL and 11th nationally with 9.0 sacks. His sack total was also the highest by a JU player since the legendary Shaun Lewis had 10 in the 2008 season. Klein led the team with 76 tackles this season giving the redshirt-junior from Edgewater, Fla. the most by a Dolphins linebacker since Joseph Fennell had 86 in 2009.
An owner of multiple school records, Lynch was selected Second Team All-PFL as a placekicker and punter. The senior from Jacksonville made the most of his final season leading the PFL in scoring with 8.5 points per game which also ranked 21st nationally and fourth amongst placekickers. He converted 61 of 61 PATs to establish a JU single season record while adding 11 field goals in 19 attempts. As a punter he was third in the league with an average of 40.0 yards per kick. He set the school record for longest punt three times during the season, including a 79 yarder vs Campbell that stands as the fifth longest punt in the country this year. Lynch also owns the distinction of being one of only two punters in the country to have three punts of 70 yards or longer this year.
Riley was recognized as a return specialist after he led the PFL with 11.5 yards per punt return. His 75 yard return in week three vs Morehead State was the second longest in school history and netted him National Punt Returner of the Week honors from the College Football Performance Awards.
Rounding out the All-PFL honorees for the Dolphins were 12 honorable mention selection including wide receiver D’Andre Randle, running back Ulysses Bryant, offensive linemen Kevin Battle, Matt Davis, Montavis Mack and Tramell Williams, defensive linemen Luidji Michel, Juan Pimienta and Aaron Riley, linebacker Grady Redding and defensive backs Ed Foley and Antonio McRae.
