CLEVELAND, Ohio.-- Senior women’s basketball player Tracie Snead has been named a 2013 John McLendon Postgraduate Scholarship finalist by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
Snead is one of 11 finalists from across the country that is up for the award. This past season she was second on the team with 11.2 points per game and led the Dolphins in field goal percentage.
Winners of the scholarship will receive $10,000 to be used towards postgraduate studies. Funding for the scholarship comes from such organizations as Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, and the NCAA. The awards are presented to senior-level minority students who intend to pursue a graduate degree in athletics administration and had over a 3.2 GPA.
