JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Due to impending poor weather conditions, Jacksonville University softball's weekend series against Kennesaw State has been moved to Sunday and Monday. The Sunday double-header will begin at 1 p.m. with game two to follow, while Monday is slated for 3 p.m.

Jacksonvile (12-19, 3-8 A-Sun) recently fell 6-2 to No. 7 Alabama on Tuesday evening after hosting the Crimson Tide for a first-ever contest. Brooke Smith led the way finishing 2-for-3, while both Charli Bradshaw and Karson Tuck went 2-for-4. Cecile Gomez and Lexie Ballard scored JU's two runs.

Bradshaw (.366), Gomez (.328) and Codi Kelly (.316) hold the best overall batting averages, while Tuck (.394), Stephanie Frances (.360) and Emily Sanchez (.343) lead in A-Sun action.

In the circle, sophomore Victoria Brown (6-7) has a 2.92 ERA over 98.1 innings pitched.

Kennesaw State (17-15, 6-3 A-Sun) most recently struck down Georgia Tech 8-3 on Wednesday, March 26 after falling 8-0 to Georgia State on Tuesday, March 25. Last weekend in A-Sun play, the Owls lost to Lipscomb 2-0 and 5-0 before winning the series finale 8-7 on Sunday, March 23.

Angie Dascoli (.374), Taylor Denton (.359) and Megan Veringa (.333) top the Owls at the plate, while Amanda Henderson leads on the mound with a 2.36 ERA over 101.0 innings pitched.
