JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU baseball team will get a glimpse of what to expect in the 2008 season as the Dolphins begin the 19th annual Green & Black Fall World Series this week at John Sessions Stadium.

After a draft conducted by team captains on Tuesday evening, the split-squad exhibition will begin on Thursday at 6 p.m. with junior Billy Schlee (Green) against senior Matt Davis (Black). Game two of the series will be on Friday at 6 p.m. which features sophomore Carson Andrew (Green) against senior Matt Gardner (Black) and the final game is scheduled for Saturday at noon with freshman Matt Loosen against freshman Sean Green (Black). Regardless of the outcome of the series, each contest will be played.

"This is a great opportunity for the guys to show the progress that they have made through the fall in an extremely competitive environment," said JU head coach Terry Alexander. "As coaches, we look forward to seeing the team compete and finding out who emerges as an early leader on the squad."
