Baseball set to play inter-squad game on Saturday at 7 p.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For those who can't wait for the start of baseball season, then take advantage of an early opportunity to see the 2008 JU baseball team as the Dolphins play an inter-squad game at John Sessions Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m.
JU, which was selected third in the Atlantic Sun Preseason Coaches Poll, will enter the 2008 season have won back-to-back A-Sun titles while earning a bid to an NCAA Regional in consecutive seasons for only the second time in school history (1994-95).
"This is a good opportunity for fans to get an early look at a brand new team," said JU head coach Terry Alexander. "There are a lot of new faces but they are also a very talented group. This also gives the coaching staff a chance to make some more evaluations before we head into the start of our season."
The Dolphins will feature 15 new players, including 12 freshmen, who will mix in with 20 returners from last year's roster. Leading the way in 2008 will be senior pitcher Matt Dobbins and sophomore third baseman Chuck Opachich, who were each named to the preseason all-conference team.
JU will begin the 2008 regular season on Feb. 22 against Wisconsin-Milwaukee at 4 p.m. as part of the JU Invitational at John Sessions Stadium.
