JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After an impressive start to the 2014 Indoor track & field season that saw Jacksonville University sweep the weekly Atlantic Sun awards, the Fins are preparing to compete this Friday, Jan. 17, in the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville.
“We have a quick turnaround from last Saturday’s meet in Winston-Salem to this Friday in Gainesville,” said Head Coach Ron Grigg.
The Dolphins won four individual events at last Saturday’s Wake Forest Invitational, including Shadaey Campbell and Kree Clark, who each won Atlantic Sun Women’s Indoor Track & Field weekly awards, as well as Svenja Meyer and Taylor Story.
"Many of our athletes will compete in different events than they did last week,” Grigg said. “It will give us a chance to evaluate our range and our depths of performance so we can make more informed decisions about event selection come conference championship time.
“We had some really nice performances last weekend and we plan to take the appropriate incremental steps forward this meet."
