JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For her efforts in assisting Jacksonville to its best start, 3-0, in 15 years, Kendall Courtney has been named Atlantic Sun Volleyball Player of the Week.
The senior setter has played a significant role in each of the Dolphins’ 3-1 victories. With seven service aces on the season she continues to be the A-Sun active career leader and has recorded double-doubles in attacks and digs in all three matches.

In the inaugural game of the 2013 season, Courtney posted 39 assists, 12 digs and four service aces. Bethune-Cookman had a slight edge over the Dolphins early in the fourth set but a kill and back-to-back aces from Courtney allowed JU to break away for the win.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Courtney averaged 10.25 assists and 2.83 digs per set and earned the title of MVP of the FAU Invitational.
The Dolphins host the JU Invitational this weekend at the Swisher Gym.
