JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After two exciting wins this past weekend against ETSU and USC Upstate that helped propel Jacksonville University volleyball to first in the Atlantic Sun, the Dolphins (18-2 overall, 8-1 A-Sun) are preparing for three matches this week. They will host Stetson on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to compete at Northern Kentucky on Friday (6 p.m.) and at Lipscomb on Saturday (2 p.m.)

Defensively, Kylie Jacob leads Jacksonville in blocks per set (1.07 blk/set), followed by Alyssa Robertson (0.95 blk/set). In digs, Rachel Miller leads with 3.06 digs per set, with Sammie Strausbaugh (2.87 dig/set) and Kendall Courtney (2.33 dig/set) rounding out the top three.

On offense, Strausbaugh tops in kills per set with 3.39, tallying 241 thus far. Gabriela Roman (2.90 k/set) and Jacob (2.36 k/set) are second and third, respectively.

Nationally, Jacksonville is tied with Florida in 7th in win-loss percentage (.900). The Dolphins are also ranked 15th in aces per set (1.71) with 128 in 75 sets, 24th in kills per set (13.99) with 1,049 and 32nd in assists per set (13.00) with 975. They're also 36th in hitting percentage (.256) with 2,531 total attacks and 1,049 kills.

JACKSONVILLE vs. STETSON (Oct. 22)

The last meeting between the two was on Sept. 21 in JU’s second A-Sun match of the season. Jacksonville lost to Stetson, 3-2 [23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 12-15] for their single A-Sun loss on the year.

Stetson (15-9, 6-3 A-Sun), fourth in the A-Sun, finished last weekend 1-for-2, shutting out Northern Kentucky 3-0 before being swept 3-0 by Lipscomb.

All-time against the Hatters, the Dolphins are 54-13.

Statistically the Dolphins and Hatters are very similar. Leading defensively for Stetson, Ellen Hawks tops in blocks per set (0.98 blk/set), followed by Erika White (0.53 blk/set) and Madison Akins (0.52). In digs, Michelle Kastner (3.87 digs/set) leads and Kaley Melville (2.73 digs/set) is second. Offensively, Melville leads in kills per set with 3.53, tallying 300 total kills, while Tiffany Creamer follows with 2.72 kills per set and 226 total.

JACKSONVILLE vs. NORTHERN KENTUCKY (Oct. 25)

The Dolphins took down Northern Kentucky 3-1 in their last competition on Sept. 28 at Swisher, winning 25-16, 22-25, 25-14 and 25-17.

The Norse (8-14, 3-7 A-Sun) lost their last two matches, falling 3-0 to Stetson on Oct. 18 and 3-1 to Florida Gulf Coast on Oct. 19.

Jenna Ruble leads NKU in blocks per set (0.75 blk/set), while Keely Creamer is second (0.74 blk/set). In digs, Anna Prickel tops with 3.54 digs per set, while Mel Stewart (2.49 dig/set) and Kaela Jo Freppon (2.42 dig/set) are second and third, respectively. Four players are above 2.00 kills per set, with Jayden Julian leading (2.87 k/set).

JACKSONVILLE vs. LIPSCOMB (Oct. 26)

On Sept. 27 Jacksonville beat Lipscomb 3-1 in their most recent match, ending 25-22, 20-25, 25-22 and 25-13.

Third in the A-Sun, Lipscomb (14-6, 8-2 A-Sun) is on a five-match win streak. The Bisons beat Florida Gulf Coast 3-1 on Oct. 18 and Stetson 3-0 on Oct. 19, both on the road.

Jewell Dobson leads the Bison in both blocks per set (0.75) and kills per set (4.81). Molly Spitznagle is second in blocks per set with 0.52, while Lauren Ford is second in kills per set with 4.10. Bri McCombs leads the pack with 4.28 digs per set, trailed by Sophie Kellerman (2.49), Stephanie Rex (2.37) and Caitlin Dotson (2.16).
