Former Dolphin Matt Loosen Tosses No-Hitter For Daytona

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Jacksonville University standout Matt Loosen (2008-10) etched his name in the record books on Monday (July 8) as he tossed a nine-inning no-hitter the Class A Advanced Daytona Cubs against the Dunedin Blue Jays.

The win improved Loosen to 3-2 with a 2.25 ERA over his six starts with the team. Earlier this season in an outing against the the Lakeland Flying Tigers he retired the last 18 batters he faced, while leading Daytona to a 5-2 victory.
