BOISE, Id.- Former Dolphin Russell Knox tied the lowest round in web.com history firing a 12-under par 59 on Friday at the Hillcrest Country Club during the second round of the Albertson's Boise Open.

Knox the Runner-up in the 2006 Atlantic Sun Golf Championship has split his time this year between the PGA and Web.com tours, started his round in quiet fashion, playing his first five holes in just 1 under. From there, though, the Scot went on a tear, playing the next 11 holes in 11 under during a stretch that included as many eagles as pars (two each). Knox was 12 under with two holes to play and was able to close with a pair of pars to match the lowest score ever shot in a Web.com Tour event.
