Kicker Dylan Lynch Nabs Second Straight PFL Honor

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -  For the second time in as many weeks senior Dylan Lynch (Jacksonville, Fla.) has been recognized by the Pioneer Football League. Lynch was named the PFL Special Teams Player of the Week once again following an impressive performance in JU's contest against Butler.

Handling all of the Dolphins’ kicking duties, he scored nine points on two field goals and three extra points, had six punts that averaged 43.7 yards per punt and tacked on two kickoffs that averaged 61.5 yards per kick. Lynch had two punts inside-the 20, including a school-record 75-yard bomb that was downed at the Butler five-yard line. Lynch’s two field goals were from 43 and 38 yards and helped Jacksonville build a 13-7 halftime lead.

On the year he leads the PFL and ranks 18th in the nation in scoring with 51 points (10.2 ppg) on 8 of 11 FG’s and 27 of 27 PATs. Lynch ranks second in the nation with 27 PATs and hasn’t missed a kick inside 50 yards this season. He has made 30 straight PATs dating back to 2012. He is the only punter in the FCS to own two punts of 71 yards or more this season.

Coming off of a three-game home swing, the Dolphins will hit the road this weekend to face Drake on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Fans can also listen to all the action on 92.5 FM.
