The Game
Jacksonville looks to hold ground in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings as the second half of league play gets underway for the Dolphins this weekend with a three-game set vs East Tennessee State. The series gets underway starting on Thursday at 6:30 pm followed by 6:30 pm on Friday and 2:00 pm on Saturday.  

The week begins with Jacksonville (6-9) in a three-way tie for 6th place in the A-Sun standings with North Florida (6-9) and Kennesaw State (6-9), both of whom JU took 2-of-3 from this season. The trio sits just one came back in the win column of East Tennessee State (7-5).

RHP Alex McRae (2-5; 7.69 ERA) starts things off on the mound Thursday for the Dolphins against RHP Austin Hutchison (3-2; 4.53 ERA) of the Buccaneers.

LHP Josh Baker (3-2; 4.01 ERA) will start on Saturday in game one night opposite RHP Jimmy Nesselt (3-3; 4.50 ERA).

RHP Justin Russell (4-2; 4.22 ERA) anchors the staff on Saturday evening when he is matched up against LHP Jamin McCann (3-3; 4.50 ERA). Russell was named the A-Sun Pitcher of the Week for a second time this season on Monday after he tossed a complete game 3-hit shutout against Florida Gulf Coast in a 1-0 Dolphins win.

Series History
Jacksonville leads the all-time series 14-11.  East Tennessee State has won three of the last four, including all three meetings last season in Johnson City. The Dolphins have won five of the eight series vs the Bucs since they started meeting in the 2006 season.
