JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Freshmen Charli Bradshaw and Stephanie Frances represent the Jacksonville University softball team on the 2014 Atlantic Sun Softball All-Conference Freshmen Team, the league announced on Tuesday, May 6.
Bradshaw, from Hollis, N.H., led the Dolphins at the plate for much of the season and ended on top with a .358 average (34-for-95). She started 33 of 45 games played and also led in slugging percentage (.558), was second in both on base percentage (.396) and triples (one), third in home runs (five) and fourth in runs scored (17). Bradshaw recorded two doubles, nine RBI, four walks and one stolen base. Twice she recorded two runs apiece against UI-Chicago (Feb. 22) and NKU (March 8). She also earned eight multi-hit games including three three-hit games against FIU (March 12), Georgia Southern (April 16, game one) and Stetson (April 26, game two).
Frances, from Land O’Lakes, Fla., finished .211 at the plate (16-for-76) and started 25 of 35 games played. She tallied three runs, four doubles, one homer, 11 RBI and six walks. Frances hit her single homer of the season at Lipscomb during game one on March 15 and recorded a season-best three hits (3-for-3) in game two against NKU on March 8.
